Slade was already an established drummer based in San Francisco, having started two all-chick bands — Burning Witchesand Industrial Rain Forest. S/he jumped into Tribe8 in 1993 and enjoyed one hell of a seven year ride. Slade now lives in Los Angeles where s/he is continuing her political activism working for environmental justice with Communities for a Better Environment. S/he is also working on a novel about "the revolution", playing with LA rockers, and has found a real niche with paint by numbers. Slade lives happily ever after with her wife and their dog.
